The Guyanese minister of Education has voiced her concerns with the CXC Registrar and has promised to aggressively pursue the issue of the grading process. I’m very disappointed that the Ministry of Education in Trinidad has not made any statement along these lines.
The only statement issued by our local MOE is a congratulatory statement. They have also echoed the statement from CXC indicating to students that they can pay $30 USD to have their papers reviewed or query (queries are free this year).
Personally, I’m very disappointed. There are massive disparities in the results attained, as well as, a major lack of transparency in the grading process this year. Why hasn’t our MOE even made a statement telling us she hears our concerns and is looking into it?
This is not a political statement, I am simply very disappointed in the ministry of education.
