Awakening from my vtuber-imposed Twitter slumber to write up another thread on this months issue of Afternoon! (Won’t actually start until I’m done with work though). Medalist on this months cover https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="šŸ”„" title="Feuer" aria-label="Emoji: Feuer"> First volume out now!
Ended up starting later than I would’ve liked after playing a bit of Mario 64 but now I’m on this. Fantastic lead color page here as Inori takes to the ice for her first performance.
Inori fails to land any of her jumps during warmups due to pre-performance jitters, but after Tsukasa tells her it’s ok to fall so long as she gets up with a smile, she steps up her game and upgrades her final flying sit spin into a broken leg spin live. Great performance!
Front illustration for this month’s Blue Period chapter. Volume 8 on sale now! (Currently waiting for my special edition to come in https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="šŸ”„" title="Feuer" aria-label="Emoji: Feuer">)
New artist Konatsu Ono has been introduced and she looks to play a big role in these next few chapters (someday I’ll be able to talk about the latest chapters of Blue Period without feeling bad about spoiling people.....)
I’ll get around to Raise wa Tanin ga Ii in the near future but until then we’ve got Tomodachi toshite Daisuki, whose first volume is set to release next month.
Mayuri musters up the courage to talk to Sanako after the student council election and though Mayuri’s friends don’t get along especially well with Sanako, they see that Mayuri actually wants to be friends with Sanako; Mayuri then ends up joining the student council.
The pain train doesn’t stop with this latest chapter of Houseki no Kuni. A very quick read just like the past few chapters. Kongou in the mud.
I’m not reading Historie (yet) but something tells me that these backgrounds might be redone when the volume release comes around...
New school term has started in Hashikko Ensemble (Volume 5 out now!). The school cultural festival is coming up and a new acapella ā€œclubā€ has popped up to rival the choir club. Will be interesting to see how they compare to each other.
First time with Tengoku Daimakyo in this thread! One side sees the continuation of events from the event of volume 4 cliffhanger, while the other side sees Kiruko and Maru continue on their travels, with this chapter ending with the appearance of a new character.
