I'm glad we're having these conversations. This scene is racist. It is more accepting than most but if you disagree w that statement it's because you are likely benefitting from the racism in it. Acknowledge your privilege & actively work against the racism. Here are some ways:
PUT ON BLACK CREATORS: Engage with and share their posts. Like white influencers/creators, this helps them gain exposure and therefore opportunities. Not only does this give us more diverse content to appreciate but it financially benefits black creators. (dancers, shops, models)
STREAM BLACK MUSIC: same concept as above but couple that with the fact that we OWE EDM TO BLACK DJS. I can link a video that names some below:

Legit one of my favorite DJs ever is Kaytranada but some others I love are Sango, aluna and Troyboi
DONT CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE: This one is so obvious but apparently still has to be said. Do research when planning festival outfits. Think critically as well as empathetically. If u are still unsure, consider asking a black friend but also realize its NOT their job to educate you
LISTEN TO BLACK PEOPLE: if a black raver tells you something you do or say is racist.........why do u think that is???
I promise it will save you a lot of time and embarrassment to just pipe down and listen and change your behavior. You even might learn something.
