Nobody actually thinks Trump is going to hole up in the White House like Pacino at the end of "Scarface" if he loses. This is media projection justifying preparations for left-wing violence. And Trump played into it by saying stupid crap, as always.

Of course Trump should have said that if he loses, there will be a peaceful transition of power. There is no excuse for saying anything otherwise. It is also true that this entire "coup" narrative is a media creation, and they are breathlessly spinning it up.

Not one of these media members truly believes that Trump will activate some sort of secret fascist takeover if Joe Biden wins. Not a single one.
