One of the consequences of working at home now is that I have to move my car for street cleaning. I used to always just be at work (with my car) on Thursdays at noon.
It's a little nerve-wracking. I'm pretty good at math, but for some reason it's really difficult for me to interpret the signs for which side of the street is 1st & 3rd Thursdays & which is 2nd & 4th. Right now I'm just watching out my window to see what everyone else is doing.
Whew, looks like I’m parked on the correct side. The street sweeper AND the tow truck come a few minutes before noon & perch at the top of the street like vultures.
Oh, good, they’re only ticketing okay, not towing. I think a concession to the pandemic. I stuck my head out the window and the ticketer waved at me to ask if it was my car she was about to ticket. That was kind.
