❁ Mitochondria: considered as the powerhouse of the cell since they convert substances into energy that is used to power diff cellular reactions
❁ Nucleus: the control center of the cell and contains the DNA which is used to encode genes needed to produce proteins
❁ Lysosomes: bags of digestive enzymes that break down foreign substances
❁ Ribosome: sites of protein synthesis in the cell

❁ Peroxisomes: bags of degradative enzymes that breakdown toxic peroxides
❁ Rough ER: studded with ribosomes and participates in protein synthesis
❁ Golgi Apparatus: modifies proteins and packages them into secretory granules or vesicles

❁ Microtubules: helps develop and maintain cell form and participate in transport mechanisms inside the cell
❁ Centrioles: composed of microtubules and forms the mitotic spindle which helps in the separation of chromosomes
❁ Chloroplast: a plant cell organelles which convert light energy into chemical energy and by doing so they sustain life on earth
❁ Cell Wall: is a structural layer surrounding some types of cells, just outside the cell membrane. It can be tough, flexible, and sometimes rigid.
