2/2 - Then why do we need Rule 5.4 - "A lawyer or law firm shall not share legal fees with a nonlawyer"?

I& #39;m not being flippant, I genuinely would like to understand counter-arguments here. I think dialogue is critical to ensuring healthy change. Help me, what& #39;s going on here?
