Since we was talking healing yesterday, I wanna remind y'all that alot of these older folk never really healed. They may have healed from their past but they still feel away about what it took to heal. That is why when you mess with older people...especially romantically...you gonna notice that most of them are selfish. Not with their money or time. They'll give that. They are selfish in the sense that they feel like they have worked enough

The disconnect happens cause the younger generations understand that we inherited things without context and we need help managing. The older generations stumbled through life and feel like it's actually just a normal part of the human condition lol

Lol our parents generation didn't really leave us anything. No wisdom. No establishments. They didn't leave us anything but critique and resentment because we didn't last as long under the spell of the generational curses and falsehoods.

Alot of the youth were and are being punished for being the free in our 20s/30s that they didn't get until their 50s. It shows in how they vote. It shows in how they engage. It shows in what they give. It shows in what they withhold.

For those of us bringing in kids in the next couple of years, please figure out what to do with those feelings you may have about "your turn". Let us love our children and help and heal when and where we can. What we couldn't afford is NOT their offense nor their burden.

If all we have to offer our children are clothes, food, room, and board we ain't doing enough. When our child is facing hardship, let us remember how we were raised and then combat that with efficiency and compassion.

Those of us bringing black children into this world remember this...WE CANNOT AFFORD FOR OUR CHILDREN TO JUST FIGURE IT OUT.
Their mistakes can cost them their lives.

This world will work overtime to humble my progeny. Why? Cause they are black. My children will not go chasing waterfall's because their father wanted to start a family to prove a point.
