(1/4) As we learn more about reported COVID-19 positives in pro-wrestling locker rooms, some gentle reminders:

A majority of North American promotions, including the more prominent ones, are testing for the virus. They all took different paths getting there, but it's happening.
(2/4) There are obvious, inherent health risks of running wrestling events during a pandemic. But with good practices, testing and common sense, promotions can mitigate those risks, operate, and stay solvent.

That's not making excuses. That's recognizing our COVID-era reality.
(3/4) Overseas promotions, like New Japan Pro Wrestling, have set the industry gold standard for COVID-19 testing, precautions and operations.

NJPW's circumstances are not comparable to those of companies in the U.S., Canada or Mexico. There's an ocean. COVID numbers differ.
(4/4) Let's be fair in our judgment and reporting of these positive cases.

Let's work toward having thoughtful conversations about COVID-19 and how the industry responds.

Let's respect and protect the privacy of performers.

Let's make an effort to talk honestly, with kindness.
