You’re speaking on the evolving faith conference. They say everyone on their speakers roster is affirming of LGBTQ lives and identity. But I have never seen or heard you publicly state that you are, or that you want to strive for queer allyship.

Could you clarify for me and everyone else what you’re personal practice and position is? Because the company you keep tends to cross a lot of perceived battle lines, and that causes a lot of confusion about where your commitments actually lie. It’s confusion.

You’re close to so many folks in my life and are an incredible voice for racial justice and gender equity, but you seem silent when it comes to queer folks.
