The on-line nihilism/defeatism I’m seeing goes EXTREMELY WELL with Trump’s stated aim to steal the election. Like if the GOP could write your tweets for you, they’d say “We’re doomed lol ” or do the cute little world-weary advance self-absolutions many of you are doing.

The media won’t help you. Fascist takeover is good for CNN’s ratings & Twitter/Facebook’s billionaire boards. I understand it’s scary to realize you have power. But you do. Voting is the tiniest thing you can do. Are you registered? http://iwillvote.com 

Better than (& in addition to) that, can you volunteer as a poll worker? http://morethanavote.com . You’ll get PPE, training (& pay) to help w vital process usually done primarily by ppl over 60 who can’t/shouldn’t do it now due to coronavirus.

While there are a few good elected Democrats, the party at large is not equipped to combat GOP/Trump. As such I’m a member of @DemSocialists & 2 unions. Still more important is direct action. Politics doesn’t happen every 4 or 2 yrs. It never did & GOP has known this while Dems slept. See judiciary & state legislatures. Strikes & protest are very effective, time-tested ways to get what you want. Do them.

Talking (in person when possible) is also great. I’m pretty sure the most effective thing *I’ve* done to motivate ppl is tell the story of my family’s experience with UK’s NHS. A govt program that DRAMATICALLY improved our lives. What can you show/tell ppl that might motivate?
