1/ So what we’re being told is that LMPD, hoping to find Breonna Taylor’s EX-boyfriend, Bc of drug activity, were justified in bashing down her door even though they had NO reason to think he was there. Then shoot into the house when her current boyfriend acted in self defense?..

2/ and that’s not even worthy of, say, a negligent homicide charge? Now, imagine Breonna Taylor’s boyfriend had barged into an officers house and shot in response to the officer shooting at them, killing the officers spouse...yeah, exactly...

3/ The leeway we give for violence solely Bc someone has a badge is stunning. Acts that are plainly criminal if committed by a civilian are stamped OK and shrugged off when done by police. And some still wonder why Black folk are done with this system? And why we all should be?

4/ and in this case, once again, all stemming from an absurd and racist drug war waged not against the white folks who comprise 2/3 of users (and dealers), or who drive the opioid epidemic, but on black folks...

5/ when, pray tell, can we expect cops to bash in doors looking for the white pharma execs who pushed Oxy on the public and got millions hooked and killed thousands for profit? Never. And if they did, and then shot the CEO’s ex in bed, they’d be under the jail...
