By attacking #Iran overtly at the UN, #SaudiArabia helped #Tehran to take its gloves off & express directly & explicitly the nature of the Saudi regime and its sponsors of terrorism (AQ and ISIS). This will reflect upon Iran's allies: no more suave effort. https://twitter.com/ejmalrai/status/1308994809483472898
#SaudiArabia has been an ally of #Israel since 1980 but #Iran never wanted to break the relationship w/ Riyadh or overtly act against it as Saudi did. Fear of a sectarian war was greater & that kept Iran cautiously flirting w/ Saudi but confronting it in the field through allies.
Now that #SaudiArabia has lost its sectarian war in #Syria and #Iraq, is not (and shall not) managing to submit #Yemen, has lost its allies in #Lebanon where #Hezbollah (Iran ally) has won, #Riyadh is turning towards the #UN and wishes fight to the last American against #Iran.
#Iran is much freer to criticise and attack #SaudiArabia now. Also, when #Bahrein & the #Emirates bring #Israel to the Iranian borders, #Tehran is free to work to destabilise Saudi Arabia to return the coin to CP Mohammad Bin Salman who said he will bring instability to Iran.
Now the war is open. #Iran has moved hundreds of commercial offices from the #Emirates to #Turkey. Also, Iran's allies are free to no longer take into consideration #SaudiArabia 's interest in #Iran and #Lebanon.
In 1980, when Yasser Arafat rejected the #SaudiArabia initiative for peace (to serve Israel), #Israel attacked & invaded #Lebanon. In 2006, #SaudiArabia & the Emirates stood next to #Israel against #Hezbollah and support #Israel's destruction of Lebanon in the hope to defeat #Iran
#SaudiArabia invested 10s of billion in #Syria to change the Syrian regime & supported #ISIS & #AQ with the hope the takfiri win & spread towards #Lebanon & #Iraq. #Israel & #SaudArabia have the same objectives:to defeat #Iran. Both failed & Iran won & is much stronger than ever
