cant stop thinking about how Different sungjin’s Afraid demo hits. ot5 Afraid is pure heartbreak but there’s an element of ‘self’ that sungjin’s version gives. it’s like the song is dedicated to yourself.

“i’m afraid i can’t love myself if i really knew me”—that kind of thought.

i feel that a lot in the bridge which goes along the lines of “me who can neither let go nor hold on to you” because no matter how hard u try to run from all u are, at the end of the day you will always come back to it.

you are all you have; that’s both comforting & terrifying.

and i think knowing Sungjin is so big on loving & accepting yourself, it all just fits so well. the lyrics become so personal all of a sudden & the focus shifts to how Afraid you can be of yourself and all that makes you you.
