It's an honest question. Nobody cared when we heard it was being made. Nobody cared when we saw the trailer, nobody cared when it hit theaters, and nobody cares now because anyone who DID care and saw the movie is not going to put themselves through that hell twice.

It's just the same people making basically the same movie, only slightly different.

The only way this sort of "let's fix this movie" thing works is if they told a *completely* different director and see what happens.

Like, imagine if the producers handed Paul Verhoeven literally the same script, gave him the same budget, and basically turn it into an Iron Chef contest.

Because I don't know what in the HELL Paul Verhoeven can do with that crap, but it sure as shit is going to look nothing like the first attempt.

(And secretly I slip M. Night Shyamalan the same script and a third of the budget. I don't know what would happen. But this shit is gonna be bananas.)

And no joke, I'd look right into Shyamalan's eye and with total sincerity, say "YOU CAN DO THIS."

He'd be like "oh, thanks, dude, that means a lot--"
