Hi @OliverDowden
Any chance you could give @RishiSunak a solid kick up the arse to support workers in the Arts?
20% of my previous income for self employed when I can do 0% of the work I was supposed to be doing for the next 2 years doesn't quite cut it.
Any danger?

Following on, Is @RishiSunak suggesting that the Arts aren't viable currently and thus shouldn't be supported properly?
We've all trained for years to do this, and we're actually really bloody good at it on a global level (of which your 'support' is supposedly one of the best)

I'm sure it's just an oversight that there's no industry specific support, to actually target the PEOPLE working rather than just the businesses. How, when your governmental guidelines don't allow us to open properly (when other countries are btw!), can we be left unsupported?

And as Culture Secretary @DCMS, don't you think it's your responsibility to ensure we have a next generation of musicians, actors, camera operators, make up artists, directors, choreographers, sound designers, lighting operators etc. The list goes on and on. This is your job. /4
@OliverDowden Feel free to reach out for a more in-depth opinion. I spoke to @SkyNews about it months back when I took a supermarket job to make ends meet - I, along with all the other temp staff, was let go. Yet I still don't have an industry to return to. Wake up man. #Theatre
@OliverDowden @RishiSunak @DCMS Oh also, see all that money being handed back from furlough that wasn’t needed? How about redistributing that out to industries that can’t open due to guideline restrictions? Or..just let us open like other countries are? #AnyDanger #HelpingHand ?
