I am fuming over this scam trying to screw over people entering the social marketing field and the content creation world (paid subscription) Please read this thread thoroughly.
So I was job hunting through Indeed for a Social Media position when I came across this.

Nothing out of the norm on the surface, a Social Media Specialist job that I should be interested in right? I clicked on it and saw it was commission only, which again isn& #39;t too out of the norm for some entry level jobs.

I went on and used the "Fast Apply" function on Indeed, which is just putting your name, number and a place to upload your resume. Then proceeded to read and got my first red flag. This wasn& #39;t a social media position, instead it was to get people to be "paid subscribers"

Not to mention the description of the "job" had a rather weird hostility towards content creators. Trying to paint as some enemy people should have no care for. I should also mention their "caveat" that you can& #39;t subscribe to any creator beyond the ones they tell you to.

Pretty sure this is against @YouTubeCreators Terms of service and can get both accounts suspended due to the fraudulent nature, though this pales in what pisses me off the most about this. I got an email asking me to fill out a form. Bored I looked over it.

In the "Terms of service" This person had the gall to put a non-compete clause into this. Though by signing in it, a poor soul who looked for SOCIAL MEDIA SPECLIST jobs (as that what he decided to title the position on Indeed) can no longer look for these jobs for 4 YEARS!!

Not only does this sink that career path, but all for 50 cents a click. To paint a picture how worthless this is. Say the cost of living for is $1500 a month, you would need to subscribe to 3000 channels a month, not including taxes.

It does not take a genius to see how predatorial and unethical these actions/strategy are. I didn& #39;t even mention that a part of the terms of service is to apply to this knob& #39;s YouTube and Instagram. I tried to keep the company name hidden to prevent any traffic.
