Always good to celebrate @TWT_NOW festival. Can& #39;t believe it& #39;s been #TWT5years.

TWT was a key node for bringing together the people and ideas that were swirling around in the post-2015 moment. Mini thread to celebrate the TWT team from our experience of the festival:
It& #39;s no exaggeration to say that @Autonomy_UK as a concept was partly born in the post-panel pub chats I was having with @autonomous_coys, @HelenHester (who I met there for the first time), @n_srnck and others. From that year (2016) on, TWT been perhaps our closest collaborator..
By the second year, Autonomy had launched and the TWT organisers had put on what is probably still my favourite iteration of the festival in Brighton. The venues, the events, the parties. Here is Autonomy& #39;s first ever TWT panel.
Come 2018, and we were hosting panels with Cybersyn architect Raul Espejo. I still can& #39;t believe that actually happened! This was also the first time I got to know @Miranda__Lena, who I now count as a good friend. @joecguinan got a great shot of the room here:
Another favourite moment from the 2018 edition - having David Graeber, Katja Kipping, the 4 day week campaign and leading UK new economy thinkers (IPPR& #39;s Carys Roberts and NEF& #39;s Alice Martin) on stage together.
The last photo from in-person TWT (2019): Julian, Kyle and I, debriefing from another fun, intense and exhausting festival. By this point, the TWT team had established themselves as the best political festival of ideas in the country - so good to see! https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đź‘Ź" title="Applaus-Zeichen" aria-label="Emoji: Applaus-Zeichen">
