With influencers someone can be famous and not famous to you.

On YouTube alone there are:
-20.5k+ channels with over 1 million subscribers
-200K+ channels with at least 100K subscribers
You can’t possibly be aware of everyone - the ecosystem is vast and growing quickly.

This is both the challenge AND the opportunity.
6 years ago Musically (which became TikTok) didn’t even exist.

4 years ago there were just 2K channels with over a million subscribers on YouTube.
So much of the industry is painted with a broad brush.

But, if you dig into any platform (a TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, etc) you see how vast and expansive they are.
There’s more to TikTok than Charli D’Amelio, Addison Rae, and the Hype House.

There’s more to YouTube than Logan Paul and PewDiePie.

Any topic or niche you could possibly be interested in has hundreds if not thousands of creators with real followings.
The vastness of these platforms and depth of communities is difficult to wrap one’s head around. Because of that vastness distilling influencers to a stereotype would be a mistake.
