This thread is going to be about my son's music. Fair warning. He goes by Gobsmacked and this is his EP which he wrote when he was 14 and released on his 15th birthday. It has now had over 20K listens. https://open.spotify.com/album/36EfQOxej8pbyyPOAOS2dY?si=xo8WGhVSRzG6IMS7h8uyaw
He is young and (IMO) pretty talented and he works hard at music. But he has had a lot of set backs. People keep telling him to enter this and that scheme for young ppl in NI. He has entered them all and never been successful. Here's him dong a cover song.
In 2020, like all musicians, he had some gigs cancelled- ones he was going to and ones he was due to play at. It was very tough for him but he played a bunch of live sessions online. Here is some of the fan art that he has been sent.
He has written new songs and feels he needs help with recording them but honestly isn't sure where to go with it all. He needs a network and it is so difficult to be continually told about great schemes and courses locally that don't seem to want him. More fan art.
The upshot is that he could really use some encouragement. A listen to the Spotify link at the start of this thread. A tweet review. A quid on Bandcamp. https://gobsmacked.bandcamp.com/album/rascal It's in him to carry on and he will, but as with us all, encouragement helps a lot.
His t-shirts are pretty cool too: https://teespring.com/stores/gobsmacked-shop-2
