If Trump had been SMART. When Michael Cohen's office was raided by FBI, Trump should have sent attorneys to Mueller and asked for a deal. Stop the investigations & Trump steps down, but no prison time. Then have Pence take over as President

Trump could have taken a 'slap on the wrist' via a negotiated settlement with Senate (Mitch) and DEMs, where Trump is allowed to resign (like Nixon) AND Pence pardons Trump for federal crimes - but NY to agree not to prosecute, let Trump pay back taxes
