As a black man I understand the outrage over police officers killing unarmed blk men & women in cities all across the country. I do support peaceful protest for justice & equality. I support addressing systematic racism in America. I believe black lives matter.
I do not understand if black lives matters how a 1 yr black toddler being killed in Kansas City a few days ago does not outrage us all also. There is record breaking violence in cities across America that is disproportionally impacting Black America, that should outrage us all.
I am a Christian who believes all human beings were made in the image of God. I believe in the sanctity of human life. I believe that all human life has value. We cannot ignore unwarranted police violence against Black Americans, but we also cannot ignore urban violence.
Dr. Martin Luther King once said injustices anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. When there is unwarranted violence by law enforcement against Black Americans, it must be addressed & there must be justice.
We must also condemn the senseless violence in cities across America that claims the lives of too many innocent children, youth, & adults. As a blk man all blk lives have value & must be protected. Dr King said "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." I stand against all forms of violence and injustices. I stand for justice and equality for all human beings. Let's make this world a better place together by fighting for what is right & just in love.
