The @PotteriesMuseum will open from 10am on Sept 28. Following latest national guidance, there will be measures to ensure the site is covid-secure. Firstly, visitors MUST book a time slot by calling 01782 232323. And we've got a 9ft Anglo-Saxon warrior on guard #MyStokeStory

The @PotteriesMuseum opening times will be Mon to Sat, 10am-5pm and Sun 11am-4pm. Visits will be a recommended two hours. And our fantastic, friendly staff will be on hand to help with any questions you may have - such as what's this owl doing among the collections?

Now the @PotteriesMuseum features some stunning, world-beating displays - including part of the amazing #StaffordshireHoard (the largest collection of Anglo-Saxon gold and silver metalwork ever found! ) This breathtaking display is well worth a look. @staffshoard #StaffsHoard

The @PotteriesMuseum also has amazing displays of fine and decorative arts, costume, local history, archaeology, natural sciences and soooo much more. There is also the world's greatest collection of Staffordshire ceramics - see, we told you, world-beaters! #MyStokeStory

In line with national guidelines, all interactive parts of displays @PotteriesMuseum have been temporarily removed. Instead, families will be able to buy Ozzy The Owl activity bags (£5) which include exciting trails, puzzles, quizzes, a home craft activity, pencils and a badge.

The @PotteriesMuseum will also feature a new exhibition - While We Were Away . It chronicles some of the things #StokeonTrent residents did during the national coronavirus lockdown. The display also highlights online activities run by the museum during the temporary closure.

Another addition to the @PotteriesMuseum will be a display inside the main museum featuring some of the equipment, items and stories that are due to be used in the stunning new Spitfire Gallery (pictured - scheduled to open in 2021). #Spitfire #MyStokeStory #StokeonTrent

Due to the Spitfire Gallery works, the @PotteriesMuseum cafe will be temporarily relocated to the old Spitfire Gallery on the ground floor with a revised menu of light refreshments and covid-secure measures in place. There will also be a takeaway service on 01782 232572 .
