1/7 I see a growing number of @mdczimbabwe supporters on these streets suggesting that @nelsonchamisa is a weak leader. While I respect their right to express their opinions fully; I DISAGREE with them. I briefly explain my reasons in this thread.......

2/7 Nelson Chamisa earned his popularity & ascension to party leadership through hard work, sacrifice & undisputed loyalty to the party & the people's struggle.
He carries scars of ZANU PF brutality. He had a broken skull that he suffered for his sacrifice to the cause (2007)

3/7 Nelson Chamisa took the leadership batton from our late iconic leader Tsvangirai (MHDSRIP) at a critical moment when it could have easily gone in the wrong hands of now known ZANU PF political surrogates @DrThoko_Khupe, @EngMudzuri & @DMwonzora. That was good judgement!...

4/7 Chamisa led MDC Alliance & tore ZANU PF apart in the 2018 elections (only 4 months after assuming party leadership); even as Mwonzora & @MKomichi were busy subbotaging him by fielding double candidates inorder to weaken the Alliance in favour of ZANU PF. That was historic!..

5/7 Chamisa managed to hold a Congress (2019) that brought back our struggle stalwarts in VP Biti & VP Ncube into deserved leadership roles with all the institutional memory & ability that came with it.This infuriated ZANU PF surrogates & they unmasked themselves.A masterstroke!

6/7 ZANU PF is setting up a trap to get him to make a "mistake" so that they can jail him ahead of #2023 elections which they know they will be trounced, withvor without rigging or foul play like they've deployed in the past, under opposition led by Chamisa.He won't fall for it!

7/7 Arbitrary arrests of democracy activists & party cadres are meant to trigger Chamisa into an "irrational" response so that they can nab him... Lawfare!
It's indisputable that Chamisa is the face & soul of our movement at the moment. He needs our full protection & support!!
