In a #bivisibilityday2020 thread abt bi erasure/invisibility, it's worth noting that the unbelievable inequalities suffered by bisexuals in sexual violence, domestic abuse, mental health, addiction, & sexual health weren't even know until pretty recently.

Cos until recently (and this still goes on) researchers didn't even collect data in a way that separated bisexuals out from lesbian and gay ppl.
Not being seen as a distinct group means our distinct oppressions were just invisible.
