It is believed by some women to be a cause of their miscarriages.

Miscarriages can occur if the Cervix opens too early during early period of the pregnancy

Although there has not been enough evidence to back this claim, but chances are they are right.

Also, if you continually hit the cervix, it can lead to the cervix losing its ability to hold pregnancy what’s termed as *incompetent cervix*

Also not enough evidence yet, but isn’t it better to be safe, than sorry?
