There is a difference between being an artist and being a performer.

If you can’t/don't write, you are strictly a performer.

You wouldn’t go to an art museum and say that the curator is an artist simply for organizing and presenting the art pieces made by other people would you? No, you’d say they’re the presenter. Nothing less. Nothing more.

This REALLY shouldn’t be bothering you all. It’s MY definition of ‘artist.’ It’s not like I went and changed the definition of artist in the dictionary or made a new rule at the Grammys. Get over yourselves.
