i dont know how to say this without being an asshole but retweeting petitions and watching videos that raise money for large organizations does jack shit
if you’re young and you cant afford to donate hit the streets or talk to your community and family about racism
also plenty of ways to help people on the ground remotely if you are disabled that do not involve money.
“thread of petitions or youtube videos to watch”
please shut up you’re not helping
it takes a lot more than just doing shit u see online it takes research
i know many people on stan twt and otherwise use social media for everything - find a local organization and boost their shit and have your moots boost their shit. they often need followers and signal boosts and need their message out there
many organizations do phone zaps! you can do that! there are lots of things you can do both remotely and without money that are not petitions, watching youtube videos, or donating money
now a lot of young people esp on stan twt are queer or in abusive family situations so i understand that talking to family is not always possible, but there are others in your online circles, your chosen friends, etc you can engage with on these issues
and do this consistently. do it constantly
also for the love of god share some activists or freelance journalists accounts of issues instead of making a carrd about everything. people risk their LIVES to bring this information to the public. least you can do is retweet it
