You know what I& #39;m getting sick of seeing? The intense need to compare everything. Like it& #39;s so damn draining. Even going outside politics.

"What is the best 3D Mario?"
"Luke Combs is no Tyler Childers"
"Rolling Stones top 500 albums of all time...revisited".
I know this seems like ridiculously miniscule in the grand scheme of things, but take a second to look at all the article you read, all the tweets you take in. I bet you that 80% of it is comparing one thing to another.

Which is great and all...but wait for it.
When EVERYTHING is a competition, you literally can& #39;t enjoy anything for what it is. Instead of enjoying it, you always either have to argue FOR or against it, which completely screws up your mental health. And most of the time, your opinion doesn& #39;t matter in the overall picture.
For example, I once got in an hour long argument with my bro-in-law about the GOAT debate in NBA. He said Jordan, I said LeBron.

I honestly could give 2 shits less about basketball, mind you. I like LeBron and all he& #39;s done for NE OH, but not enough to raise my already high BP.
So why did I argue for an hour about something that literally has no impact on me? I couldn& #39;t even tell you.

And I& #39;m not talking about healthy civil conversation and debates, I& #39;m talking about click-bate articles, tweets, etc on stuff that doesn& #39;t matter.
I& #39;m just super angry at the fact that we are pushed to constantly argue. And even worse is we are pushed that we have to always STRONGLY have an opinion on something, or we can& #39;t have an opinion at all.
I& #39;m not sure what the whole point about this thread is except that I& #39;m just tired of comparing everything all the damn time. I think it& #39;s time for bed.
