Scandal in Kleinburg. Local bar is hosting a 4 day live music event in their small back parking lot, from Thursday-Sunday eve. 100 people outside each night, live band, drinking singing.
This is the letter they sent to neighbors who live in small building next door that looks out to the parking lot #vaughan
Advertising on CP24. So that means, 400 people from around the GTA coming into a small village, to drink & sing, all because of a loophole. The city of #Vaughan gave them the permit. (Till 11pm starting Thursday). cc @fordnation
So why is a tiny bar allowed to host 400 people over a weekend, yet I can’t have my entire family over for Thanksgiving? There’s no Santa Claus parade, FFS. How is this not reckless?
Just for reference, this bar only seats 25 people very tightly inside. This seems to be a loophole that @fordnation didn’t realize. @cp24
This is their back parking lot. 100 people, plus band, wait staff. That’s 25 tables of 4? 50 tables of 2? Distancing? #vaughan @mbmayor
This is a better picture of the lane way into the back of the pub. It’s tight. This is a loophole that @fordnation had better address, fast. I realize it was meant for one-off events, like weddings...not this. 100 people each night, 4 nights. 400 people
Look, I’m not against people needing to make money for their business. But this loophole is being used is hypocrisy. It’s going to make regular people angry.
Funnily, guess who’s Vaughan Developer’s son has a sales center next door to the pub ? Will they be allowed to use their back parking too? @VestsCanada
