I'm a sh*thead facebook friend. A thread.

To keep my own sanity, I tend to unfollow people on FB who constantly complain & have far too much drama in their lives.

One of those friends was a girl who I was really good friends with from about 7th-10th grade. Like BFFs.

Tonight, I found out that she died from cancer over the summer. And, I had no clue, because I hit "unfollow" on FB.

We caught up a few years ago at a diner. And, now I'm wishing that I could've seen her one more time.

She helped me find myself. (She also got me into a lot of trouble for making questionable choices, but that's what made life adventurous.)

We came up with a whole, elaborate dance routine to this. Every day, all summer, we worked to perfect this dance routine. And then, we somehow landed tickets to the Madonna concert later that year. And, of course, we went -- dressed as Madonna.

The point is: I should've been a better friend. So, right now, I'm heading over to FB & re-following every single whining drama llama on my friends list.
