Folks wants to talk about Drew Brees' arm strength, but that's really not what stood out on an initial run thru the all-22.

The arm has juice. What did stand out? Questionable decisions/accuracy

First pass of the game was his longest. Plenty on it, just a bad idea. #Saints
By the end of the game I'd have said this is a guy that's been under fire all night and thought he had to get it out quickly. Not the case here.

Safety in deep middle waiting to crash down, honestly should've intercepted it. This needed to go to Smith in the flat.
And here's the overcorrection later in the drive. Raiders shaded a safety over Cook a lot of the night and that's a big reason you didn't hear his name much.

There's an aggressive but safe window to attack here, but this is going to Kamara the entire way. Drive ends in a FG.
Something that always bugs me is a team loses and it becomes super trendy to criticize short throws. A 5-yard gain is rarely a bad thing.

But you can't flat miss, and Brees rarely does. But this is just a bad throw w/o pressure. An uncharacteristic problem area for him thus far.
Two more that make you shake your head and remind yourself who Drew Brees is.

1. Ball delivered behind Harris working across the middle
2. Airmails Cook on corner (Cook called for OPI so it wouldn't have mattered)

Brees needs to be sharper, but these aren't about arm strength.
It really looks like Brees and the TEs have been having hard time getting in-sync.

Here's another example from the second half. This had a chance to be a big play and in live action looks like another bad throw. But it's really a miss b/c Hill inexplicably stops on his route.
It's also worth noting this isn't long after Hill got his leg caught up during a tackle and limped off with an injury. It's possible he was still feeling it here. But this was a bad missed opportunity down 24-17 in the 4th quarter. Saints ended up punting three plays later.
Since I've posted plenty of Drew Brees' not-so-great moments, here's probably his best throw.

As he finishes his 7-step Tre'Quan Smith is where he's supposed to be. Leads him to space with a strong throw (23 in the air). Then Brees gets steamrolled by Josh Hill's back.
