I showed JK’s video and his painting to my friend who has MFA from Yale and she was freaking out. She was like it didn’t matter if JK referenced Mr. Ross’s method it was his own interpretation and skill that really impressed her. She said his touch, composition and color was all

extraordinary. She felt that JK was already somewhat experienced painter by the way he painted the sky first and the way he preferred & only used particular type of brush. She said the coloring was very fresh yet contained just the right amount of density. (that he didn’t overly

add the touch & layered colors) Also mentioned that his coloring was extremely clean but composition was bold. Overall she feels that if he keeps working on it he’d become an amazing painter. She just couldn’t believe he self-taught himself. I still can’t get over it. JK genius
