The NBA and NHL pregame shows are just so wildly different right now. NHL just lives in its own bubble where nothing but hockey ever happens. It’s like the outside world doesn’t even exist.

Allyship should be constant. Seeing the Breonna Taylor grand jury charges mentioned on NBA pre game shows but nothing on NHL on NBC Sports. Not that I’m surprised but it just shows their mentality towards social justice issues. Part of allyship should be seeing what the community you’re aligning yourself with needs and responding to those needs in an empathetic way. I know the NHL is always like this and the league is mostly white but good allies need to acknowledge the pain of Black/POC communities.
