It’s #bivisibilityday! I’m bisexual, and I realized my sexuality late because it was easy to just write off my feelings about women as platonic when I was also attracted to men.

These days I’m in a committed relationship with a man, but I explore my sexuality in games & fiction.
The queer community is rightfully protective of queer spaces. But I also just want to ask that you be aware of the fact that you may not know if a person is bisexual or exploring their sexuality. What relationship they’re in doesn’t determine their sexuality.
I struggle to feel welcome in and accepted in queer spaces. I don’t know if even I feel like I “belong” there. Most of the bi people I know feel this way. As much as I want to spend today celebrating this part of myself, it’s very hard to do so.
So I guess I’m just saying... hey, fellow bisexuals. I know it doesn’t always feel like it, but we belong. We’re part of the queer community. We deserve to be here. 💖💜💙
