IMPORTANT (& long) update thread: We’re cautiously reopening the library w/the goal of balancing serving the WOU community and doing our part to keep everyone safe. We will open to WOU students, faculty, and staff only on Mon, 9/28, but have scaled hours back to Mon-Fri, 10am-5pm
The 24-hour room will still be open with a limited number of physically distanced computers. Current hours and all relevant policies are available on the library’s COVID-19 page (this will always be the most up-to-date page for information): https://library.wou.edu/coronavirus  #howlaboutit
Things to know to prep for our reopening:
😷 Face coverings are required throughout the library during your entire visit;
3⃣5⃣ Only 35 people are allowed in the library at one time, so please limit your time in the library in order to give others the chance to use it as well;
💳 A WOU ID card is required to scan at entry and exit - both for us to track the building occupancy and for contact tracing efforts;
➡⬅ Entry is on the west side (Monmouth Ave. door) only. Please pay attention to directional flow signs and arrows throughout the building;
🚫☕🍎 Due to the face covering requirement, food and drink is not allowed in the library at this time;
❌ Study rooms and conference rooms are not available for use at this time;
✨ Disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer are available at the Information Desk and in various locations around the building. Please sanitize shared equipment (such as computer keyboard and mouse) and sanitize/wash your hands before and after use;
📚📀 You don’t have to come into the library to get materials. You can request curbside pick-up or delivery through the mail. If you do come in and handle materials, please leave them on a re-shelving cart or an empty table as we are quarantining used items before re-shelving;
💻 Computing and accessories to support remote learning are available, including wifi hotspots for eligible students - see our COVID-19 page for details. General equipment such as cameras are not currently available;
🙋🙋‍♂️💻 There will be library staff in the building available to help you if you have questions or forget the rules! You can also get help virtually through the “Ask WOU Library” links on our website. #howlaboutit #woulibrary #westernoregonuniversity
