A couple dozen protesters are marching through Center City to rally for justice for Taylor after a Kentucky jury this afternoon returned an indictment that did not charge any police officers in her death. There’s a rally planned for 7 at City Hall
Ahead of protests tonight, the city said it was ramping up its Center City police presence and adding “roving officer details.” Officials recommended any businesses “openly accessible because of past vandalism or other reasons” to board up their doors and windows.
Chanting “Black Lives Matter” and “money for jobs and education, no more cops and incarceration,” the group is growing slightly as protesters near City Hall

“She is dead, and no one is being charged for her murder,” speaker says. “Of the thousands who marched for George Floyd in June, we are the faithful few.”

Says the only way the system will change is if young people & people of color band together to organize, not just to protest

Couple hundred protesters marching past Philadelphia City Hall right now rallying for justice for Breonna Taylor.

“We are marching in solidarity with Louisville. We are marching in solidarity with Breonna Taylor’s mother, God knows what she’s going through,” a speaker said.
“Stop in this street and put your fist in the air for Breonna Taylor.”
