Xbox is probably losing more money on GamePass than their consoles:

- They have to pay publishers a great deal of money to have their games on the service
- That cost can only be mitigated by a humongous amount of subscribers
- But more subs also = higher prices from publishers
Here’s where that could change and be sustainable/profitable:

- If publishers see that being on XGP leads to more copies sold. That’s where things start to turn around

- Also don’t forget that MS is investing huge in making their own exclusives. So they need those subs fast
This is why Sony says subscription services are not sustainable. That’s true for today. But in a few years that might’ve changed completely once customers have learned to consume that way #Xbox #PlayStation
