So when Amanda needed some help with a new project, she contacted Sue. The project was a research-driven initiative to provide much needed support for LGBTQ2+ people living with cancer. Amanda's research partners were (and remain) Meghan McInnis and Evan Taylor.

So we three met at a lunch place on Main Street for me to meet Amanda and talk about the project. It was obvious that the researchers felt very strongly about the need for this project, and very quickly Sue and I saw that we could help in a meaningful way.

So we struck the project, did extensive consultations including involving patient partners, and built a searchable database, collaboration space, story library and website.

...and we named it Queering Cancer!
