i'm so glad Jes exists. and glad that they said this in public where ppl can see. cuz uhhh a lot of y'all think of other ppl's identities as trends specifically because you think they get some kind of cache. https://twitter.com/modernistwitch/status/1308545095755534336
in the instance of satchuel cole and cv vitolo?
they used Blackness (or more specifically a phenotype that goes against white supremacist standards) as cache.
they are identity/ guilt grifters. my suspicion is that they went for Blackness because nobody would question it.
because they are both AFAB (assigned female at birth, aka "nobody saw a penis so it's a girl!"), i cannot help but wonder if they leaned into NB identity *partially* because they weren't always racialized as white. i'll clarify in the next tweet. take a walk with me.
Black women/ girls/ femmes (AFAB or not) always get policed. not girly enough, too dark to be dainty, too big to be delicate, etc, even when we are small bodied/ wear straight hair/ are quiet or reserved. right? everything we do is antithetical to white supremacist femininity.
example: depictions of FLOTUS44 as a gorilla, quevenzhané wallis continually being maligned and called out of her name, etc. we know this.

so, my question based on this fact and the behavior of cole and vitolo: do they think Blackness distances them from being cis assumed?
i have no way of knowing, right? because i'm literally never gonna talk to either of their asses. (it's on sight as far as i'm concerned)
i am geniunely curious about the way they saw themselves and their gender before they decided to pretend to be Black.
when i was talking this over with @modernistwitch last night (god i love Jes, you should follow them) i got really upset because of how that shit came across to me. IMO they used Blackness as a dumping ground/ target practice instead of understanding their gender AS WHITE PEOPLE
that's the whitest shit ever, right? ignoring the fact that gender is racialized. and that race is absolutely gendered. we don't get to be woman or Black. we're both.
not a single Black nonbinary person is out here like, "uhhhh i guess i'm only Black today! sorry, enbies!"

because that is not how any of this works.
my suspicion -- again, i have the same info as everyone else who read about these ppl -- is that in knowing they weren't women, those two went for the racial ID that was least womanly to them. Black. because Black women are forever shut out of womahood.
Black suffering and death are necessary for this shit show to keep going. note that these two aren't pretendians (hi, andy smith!). they relied 100% on the one drop rule, and therefore the fucking sexual exploitation and abuse of Black women by white men. to grift.
which is what jess krug did, it's what rachel dolezal is still doing.
exploiting the suffering of Black women to get attention.

ain't shit whiter than that.
it makes me very punchy. and i don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that they will do the pull-an-identity-out-of-my-ass thing again, if they have not already.

it's why dolezal is holding onto this fake Blackness so hard.
if they'll try on race as a costume, why not gender? why not disability? why not being working class? (the class thing is a whole separate conversation)
this isn't ammo for transphobes, by the by. they will use anything.
i legit wanna know if these two are just playing dress up.
