I’ve said this before too, but if maintaining the peace is not the burden of the cops who are busting into people’s homes & killing them w/o cause but rather the burden of the laypeople rightfully protesting this conduct... why do we have police?

I mean, it makes zero sense (except for upholding racism of course.) If the obligation and burden for maintaining peace is on the average citizen, then we don’t need police. The funding for police should go to funding the communities that the state keeps saying are the ones responsible for preventing crime and murder and quelling any unrest.
