hey, why is it that so many beefleaf shippers hate xuexiao because “xy drove xxc to suicide and he was a mass murderer” when canonically hx tried to force sqx to kill his own brother, then ripped swd’s head off with his bare hands in front of sqx, and when sqx said he wished to
die, hx wouldn’t let him? I just think it’s interesting how bflf shippers are quick to say xx shippers are bad, toxic, need to get help, deserve to die/be harmed when in many ways, bflf is arguably worse than xx. and I say arguably, because people have different interpretations
for their ships and canon, but. it really gets me when bflf shippers say that xx shippers are evil and toxic and support abuse when I’ve rarely seen xx shippers do any such thing, while I’ve seen countless bflf shippers dogpile, harass, and say that xx shippers deserve death.
and, well, while bflf shippers tend to say that xx shippers “ignore canon” and “ignore that xy drove xxc to suicide and ruined everything” they also seem to ignore hx and sqx’s canon relationship in favor of a more palatable uwu-fied version that completely ignores hx’s canon
physical and mental abuse that he put sqx through. don’t get me wrong — I love beefleaf. a lot, really! it’s one of my favorite tgcf ships. however, the hypocrisy of so many of these fans just puts me off (and is subsequently why I don’t interact with bflf fans or create content
for them)
