Alright, full disclosure: I started with Monster Hunter World, but have gone back and played the previous games in the series to catch up on the history I missed. On my journey, I& #39;ve found plenty of bad takes from every generation, proving everyone has always been the worst. 1/

People have been claiming to be "disappointed" with MH& #39;s difficulty since the second game, but the more you read, the more you realize these wack opinions are built on a foundation of quicksand.
There have been many claims over the years, that the series is getting progressively more "dumb down for casual Western audiences" 4/
Oops, forget this absolute gem from a SUPER VET, ranting about us damn dummy Westerners...posted in English...on Reddit... 5/
But even Portable 3rd, a game never released outside of Japan, incurs the "disappointment" of "franchise vets" 6/
Some people seem to think the series is just getting dumber period. (Just a reminder that DMC is also a popular Capcom property...in case you...didn& #39;t know that?) 7/
Some people get hung up comparing it to other games...whether or not the comparisons are valid or...even rational. 8/
And some people think the games are hard, no matter where you jump into the series. (I just like that the screenshot choice for "brutal" was Lao Shan) 9/
But every once in a blue moon, you find those rare and wonderful people that have managed to find some hard-earned perspective. /10
