Sex is a spectrum is what was previously being used to give false/exaggerated information about #intersex bodies to perform IGM

Abolishing the ideas of "penis too small", "clit too big" and "vagina can/can't be penetrated" would make it easy to classify most as male or female.
That being said there are those rare cases that are actually very difficult to tell, but for the rest of us it's pretty simple despite what genderists have you believing. There are going to be intersex people who identify as trans.. however..
Has nothing to do with their being intersex unless they were on the unfortunate end of harassment and don't want to be different. Even then, that's a social recognition issue and rather instead of "sex being binary" as the issue, it's people making sexual characteristics rigid.
If you really want to help #intersex people out, you'll start putting accurate information out there instead of false information that conflates our complicated medical conditions with the social phenomenon gender.

Education for peers, parents and doctors is what it'll take.
I honestly believe by doing so we can normalize the idea of #intersex bodies being male or female, with only a very small fraction of those #intersex being classified as "ambiguous" and even then, there are other ways to tell. Like reproductive duct development for instance.
Othering our bodies may seem like a good and supportive answer but it really isn't. It tells doctors and other people that we're not male or female, we're not "normal" and further more.. we're "freaks" and it stresses ppl to fix our bodies, rather then apply appropriate treatment
#Intersex people can be trans like anyone else can. However if it has to do with the individual's CCSD, it's because of lack of social acceptance and othering based on differences caused by these congenital conditions of sexual development. Or an environment with poor support.
#Intersex people are male or female, what #Intersex people prove is that sexual characteristics can come in a large variation. Intersex females show that the vagina can not even exist and the clitoris can be rather large. That females can develop hirsutism and virilization
#Intersex males show that the penis can be small, the urethra can be in a different place then on the tip of the penis and intersex males can be rather feminized, while still being male.

The majority of those with CCSDs in fact can easily have their sex observed at birth.
Gonads can be a determinant, but they're not always the case. Intersex cases are tricky in this regard and focusing on one sole thing can alienate and make an intersex boy or girl feel othered and like they need to change themselves, that's the attitude that needs to change.
There are CCSDs without reproductive parts fully there, at all.. Gonads replaced with streak gonads, or undeveloped gonads that function entirely differently from the fully developed form. Gonads are a terrible argument to use, arguably just as bad as chromosomes really.
If you want to support an #intersex organization that actually is focused on #intersex bodies and providing information and resources to families with children who have CCSDs/DSDs I can't recommend @dsdfamilies enough.
