It's time to bring to Twitter what's being discussed on local Facebook:

1) The identity of one of the men who yelled "White power!" during the Alamance County Trump Convoy and Ride 2020.

This will get really fun at the end. 😂 https://twitter.com/jordangreentcb/status/1307399316873580544
2) On Saturday there was a Trump rally at the Ace Speedway in NC hosted by the Young Republicans of Alamance County and TL Mann. Following it was a convoy for Trump hosted by ACTBAC hate group leader Gary Williamson.

Totally separate events. *wink*
3) Soon after the event was over, Gary Williamson found out that people in the convoy yelled "white power!"
4) Gary really didn't seem to have a problem with "white power" being shouted, so much as it being shouted during the convoy he organized.

When you surround yourself with dumb racists, you're gonna get dumb racists in your convoy, Gary.
5) Let's look at what happened. In this video "white power" comes from two different trucks in the convoy. The first is the black Chevy. Focus on that one.

The other one was later and we'll set that aside and revisit it at a later date maybe. https://twitter.com/Triad_City_Beat/status/1307411467860422656?s=20
6) Here's a reverse angle of that black Chevy. You can see the driver cup his hand to his mouth and enunciate it so it's really loud and really clear. https://twitter.com/MeganSquire0/status/1307371518372884480?s=20
7) There's another video of that same truck from earlier. You can see him swerving side to side like like he's some NASCAR driver under a caution flag. https://twitter.com/acrider/status/1308409671376605185?s=20
8) Here are photos of the truck from that day. There are no good photos of the license plate, so it's impossible to look it up.
9) There were other photos that proved to be damning.
10) Meanwhile in the Trump Convoy event thread they're discussing BLM racism. 🤷‍♀️
11) Antifa was also blamed. An event organized by the leader of a hate group couldn't have someone yelling "white power".

It must be Antifa, making them look bad. 🤡
12) In the fallout the head of the Young Republicans came out to denounce what happened. Furthermore, he says if he can figure out who it is they'll be banned.

We're coming back to this later. 🚨
13) Yesterday late morning the shit hit the fan. Local activists had identified the man driving the black Chevy truck yelling "white power" as Jesse Hursey. His family owns a local BBQ chain.
14) Here's a photo of Jesse Hursey in front of a sign for the family business.
15) This was very disappointing to locals for many reasons, but the history of the Hursey in the civil rights era was notable and made this more worrying.
16) It's also really problem for the local Young Republicans under TL Mann.

Jesse was the Chaplain of the Young Republicans and was mentioned on at least one post about the event by the AlamanceYR. I've heard Jesse spoke at the event, but wasn't able to confirm.
17) Jesse Hursey is also a pastor, most recently at Solid Rock Community Church in Sanford, NC.

Jesse was "saved" in 2016 and became a pastor. Being the scion of a well know family, it was celebrated locally. I'm not getting into it, but it's there.
18) Just as problematic is how he's speaking to local youth. If I were in the local community I'd have a BIG fucking problem with this.
19) Jesse Hursey recently deleted his Facebook, within the last two weeks. I'm guessing Jesse paniced after the video went up.

The internet is forever Jesse.
20) Jesse's Twitter also disappeared, but the internet remembers.
21) Jesse's Instagram also disappeared.
22) For not knowing who was responsible for yelling "white power" it sure seems funny that the Alamance Young Republicans deleted posts with Jesse in them.

The internet is forever TL.
23) The family has come out against what he said and it's been reported he's not affiliated with them at all and hasn't been so for 8 years.

If so, why is he the contact for the new Mebane location? 🤷‍♀️
24) I'll update this thread as more information becomes available.
25) Jesse has made a statement after reactivating the Facebook account he recently deactivated, along with his other social media, for no reason it seems. 🤡
26) Jesse has deleted his post, but not before getting the endorsement of one Fred Krueger, who stans Jesse when not terrorizing the dreams of high school kids.
27) @newsobserver advances the story in a few ways, but all in the same damning direction: Jesse Hursey yelled "white power" during the Trump convoy. https://twitter.com/newsobserver/status/1309143100250624000?s=20
