My son, mid thirties, fit and healthy, nearly died due to Covid related heart failure. His ongoing health issues are complex and compound and will both affect his life expectancy and his life enjoyment.

He got it from a co-worker who lied about his exposure, came to work sick, wears a "Hang Trudeau" shirt and thinks it's funny to "make libs cry".

My son won't, but I offered to finance a suit against the bastard AND the politicians who created him.

This makes two people in my family who have been deliberately infected with a deadly virus which reduces lifespan and life quality. This makes it two times that systems intended to protect people were subverted by adherents to an ideology which hates liberals and women.

In my son's case, it was an ideological extremist. In my case it was a police force that would not, that outright refused, to take my fear as anything except paranoia and refused to protect me because I was being "hysterical".

Usually I don't expose all these details - partially because they're private in a unique way and partially because I don't want to dilute the "Covid is serious" message. I guess I'm just out of fucks to give today.
