i think i broke my linux bell with the last update (manjaro 5.4.64-1) so im gonna do thread about it using #ManjaroUpdateBrokeMyBell block it if u want (yes i should create a blog but im too lazy for dat)
well well i'm using urxvt and in my .Xdefaults i do have my dear sweet URxvt.visualBell: true therefore its not my fault thank you for coming to my ted talk
ok but my screen brightness was using the same "thing" and its gone now and thats not nice, but the brigthness stuff is handled by a XFCE4 plugins (yes i use i3 with some xfce4 plugins im asking for shit to happens) #ManjaroUpdateBrokeMyBell
mmh i think im currently on some ugly ass gtk version and i used to be on qt5 so wtf, where did my qt5 go ?? #ManjaroUpdateBrokeMyBell
ok so im currently installing the suite again oops. my update have left me with 0mb left on my device for a while, i guess pacman was at its limit with my bullshit and removed some packages ;;_;; #ManjaroUpdateBrokeMyBell
Okay so im at this point where i have to restart my session but im too lazy for this, i'll keep this thread updated whenever i get some news #ManjaroUpdateBrokeMyBell
im back on it, i think for some reason my desktop notification manager has been removed so that is fun , idk which one i used before mmh its still reachable from my xfce4 session but not i3 which is super weird #ManjaroUpdateBrokeMyBell
alriigghhttt im using xfce4-notifyd but while using xfce4-notifyd-desktop i got some dbus error and when looking further FOR SOME REASON it didn't launch with my session

aaaaaaaaaahhh my xfce4-notifyd.service disappeaaaredddddddddddddddd #ManjaroUpdateBrokeMyBell
i think its xfce4 fault for tweeking stuff or idk with their update, im just gonna launch xfce4-notifyd with the rest of my stuff at startup :pepesad: #ManjaroUpdateBrokeMyBell
thats the end of this thread i guess
thats the end of this thread i guess
TL;DR #ManjaroUpdateBrokeMyBell im on i3 but seems like xfce4 updates have broke some past dependencies to systemd ? and now launch this at the start of the session yourself. great.
