bts stopped being a boyband i liked a long time ago. they are much more than that to me, now. they make me genuinely happy. they help me to understand myself better and to go through days i’m not sure i’d be able to without them.

maybe this is a lot. but even before covid i was at a point in my life where everywhere i turned felt like a dead end. having bts, having those people who cheer me up and understand who i am even from so far away is like an anchor. hold on. keep going.

i know they don’t know me personally. they don’t know my name, where i live, the things i go through. but i know that they hope one day i can stand by myself and love me for me. that’s what they want for us.

but for now, we use them. we use bts to love ourselves. to keep going.
