Why I believe I would beat a silverback gorilla in a fight - a thread🧵
Part 1: STATS -
There are thought to be 100,000 western lowland gorillas in the wild, of which 4,000 (4%) live in zoos. At the time of writing I have yet to spend any time in captivity.

🇹🇹1-0🦍
A species that strong probably has no trouble defending itself right? Wrong. There are 100,000 gorillas and only one (1) of myself, yet they are the endangered species. Ask yourself why that is.

🇹🇹2 - 0🦍
The Guinness book of world records estimated that a gorilla could lift up to 2000lb (~900kg) of weight. Unfortunately I haven't been to the gym in 6 months so I can't present numbers, but let's assume the gorilla is somewhat stronger than me for the sake of argument.

🇹🇹2 - 1🦍
PART 2: FIGHTING ABILITY
Apart from fighting my demons, I have yet to record a defeat in my career. Gorillas have taken several major Ls in their history - including their 'GOAT' King Kong in 2005

🇹🇹3 - 1🦍
The average height of a gorilla is 5'6 whereas I am a comfy 5'10 in the right air maxes. I have a clear range advantage and Abella Danger level head movement so I struggle to see how the gorilla would land a significant strike to take me down.

🇹🇹4 - 1🦍
"But what about the ground game?"
A gorilla walks about using 4 limbs to my 2 - a clear difference in leg power. Most humans would be afraid to fight a gorilla, meaning it won't have any sparring experience. The element of surprise AND thunder thighs? Ez

🇹🇹5 - 1🦍
A big part of fighting is the mental game - and Lord knows I wouldn't be afraid to bring up the generational trauma of Harambe to get under his skin in the pressers. No way I could let them pop my darg like that and get away with it.

🇹🇹6-1🦍
CONCLUSION:
It'd give me a good run for my money but nothing more. 3 round TKO.
