As it stands the reasoning why we will be in a battle for top 6 at best simply lies in our midfield and lack of it.

The ONLY player of ours worthy of selection is Xhaka, he is incredibly progressive, a line breaker, positionally aware, a real leader.

Let’s look at the others.
Elneny, ball retention.

That’s it, he can’t tackle, he is weak as piss. His biggest threat would be on a 5 a side pitch.

These people who try to invent a role for him “keeping it simple” live on another planet. This is the Arsenal not Bournemouth.

Likeable but nowhere near.
Guendouzi

Clearly has an element of talent on the ball. Loved a progressive pass.

Off the ball he is the biggest liability I’ve ever seen, so positionally unaware.

Plays likes he’s Zidane in a charity match when he’s yet to reach Denilson levels.

Attitude STINKS.
Willock

Arsenal boy, delighted he’s made the first team but nowhere near good enough to stay here.

Would make a brilliant marathon runner, covers ground for days and can arrive late into final 3rd.

His ability though is better suited to relegation level prem at best.
Torreira

Love him as a player, good on the ball, positionally good, can play progressively.

Is positionally aware and can create a superb base alongside Xhaka.

That said England isn’t for him. Doesn’t like the challenges, isn’t up for the fight enough.

Need stronger.
Until we rectify all of this the Arsenal will not be competing on any level. Midfield options of Xhaka Ceballos, Partey, Aouar and Saka is another planet from Willock, Guendouzi, Elneny, Torreira.

We have to do this business or we will struggle to class ourselves as a top side.
